Welcome to our first expansion update! Things are moving along quickly at the new building, and what was once empty is looking more like home. This is, of course, mostly thanks to the new equipment you see above. We’re now the proud owners of six 30 BBL (BBL=31 gallons) fermenters, a 30 BBL brite tank, a 60 BBL brite tank, with a 15 BBL brew system and a brand new canning line headed our way soon. Compared to the current 2 BBL setup, you could definitely say we were excited to get these!
Once we get rolling, this equipment will allow us to produce upwards of 4,000 barrels of beer per year, which is more than ten times what we’re able to produce at the location in Douglass Loop. As thrilled as we are to get it set up, though, we’re currently installing a new concrete pad for support. In addition, we’re working on new drainage for both our brewing operation and what will eventually be restrooms for the new taproom.
As you can see, the space is fairly open, and the goal is to keep it that way. Like we mentioned in our last post, one of the things we love about this experience is the dialogue we’ve been able to have with our customers. With this in mind, we’re working to make sure we continue to be transparent. So, just like how you’ve been able to see the brewing setup in Douglass Loop, you’ll be able to do the same from the taproom here. Simply put, we want you to know where your beer is coming from.
Speaking of Douglass Loop, things continue to keep rolling. We have a Crazy Mountain Brewing Company tap takeover scheduled for Saturday, July 23rd, not to mention a New Belgium Fat Tire & Friends tap takeover a week later (July 30th). And, of course, we always have our Fleet Feet social runs on Tuesdays and weekly trivia sponsored by Jet’s Pizza on Thursdays. So, feel free to come out!
